Obsessed With Aroids now offers a Plant Concierge Service for eligible plants being sent from Victoria to interstate destinations where certification is required.

Our current service is available for eligible consignments travelling from Victoria to NSW and SA under our ICA-62 accreditation.

If you're a Victorian grower, seller or collector and need help sending plants interstate, you can arrange for your plants to be sent to us for the required processing before they continue on to your customer.

What's Included

For eligible plants, our concierge service can include:

  • ICA-62 treatment where required
  • Inspection
  • Required certification and paperwork
  • Repacking for interstate travel
  • Forwarding to your buyer via Australia Post

All plants and consignments must be eligible under the applicable interstate biosecurity requirements before we can accept them.

1 plant — $25
2 plants — $45
3 plants — $70

4+ plants — Contact us for a quote

Pricing is based on standard-sized plants that can be safely packed together within one Australia Post Medium mailer.

Postage from Obsessed With Aroids to the final recipient is additional.

Larger plants, oversized consignments or orders requiring larger packaging will be quoted separately.

Multi-plant pricing applies only when all plants are travelling together to the same recipient and delivery address.

How It Works

  1. Contact us before sending your plants.
    Send us the plant names, quantity and destination state so we can confirm whether the consignment is suitable for our service.

  2. Arrange delivery to our accredited facility in Victoria.
    Do not send plants until your booking has been confirmed.

  3. We process the consignment.
    Eligible plants are treated, inspected and certified in accordance with the applicable requirements.

  4. Your plants are repacked and forwarded.
    Once completed, the consignment is sent to your nominated recipient using Australia Post.

Important Information

Biosecurity requirements vary depending on the plant species, destination and current state regulations. Acceptance of a booking does not override interstate quarantine requirements.

Plants must arrive with us in suitable condition for processing. We reserve the right to refuse plants that are unhealthy, pest affected, damaged or otherwise unsuitable for certification.

Obsessed With Aroids is not responsible for delays or losses that occur before the plants reach us or after they have been lodged with the final postal carrier.

Additional treatment, packaging or handling charges may apply where a consignment falls outside our standard service.

Frequently asked questions

Will my plant lose leaves in transit?

Some minor leaf stress or drooping is normal after shipping. Give your plant a few days to settle in with good light and water, and it should bounce back quickly.
Do you ship to PO boxes or parcel lockers?

We only send to street addresses, as live plants can be sensitive to extended time in lockers.

Which days do you dispatch orders? 

A: We dispatch Monday & Tuesday only, so your plant doesn't sit in a depot over the weekend.
How long will delivery take?

A: Estimated transit times by state: VIC 1–2 days, NSW/ACT 2–3 days, QLD 2–4 days, SA 2–3 days, WA 5–7 days, TAS/NT 3–6 days. These are business days and subject to Australia Post delays.
What if my plant arrives damaged or in poor condition?

Contact us within 24 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the plant and packaging. We'll work with you to find a fair resolution.
Do you include heat or cold packs?

We assess each order and include appropriate packaging materials based on the season and your location.
 What happens if Australia Post delays my delivery? 

Unfortunately transit delays outside our control aren't covered by our arrival guarantee, but we'll always do our best to help if your plant has suffered as a result.
What states do you ship direct to?

As Obsessed With Aroids is now ICA-62 accredited, our shipping options have expanded:

🌿 VIC, NSW, QLD & SA: We can ship eligible plants directly where permitted.

🌿 WA & TAS: We can ship your order to your chosen accredited plant concierge/quarantine service for treatment, certification and onward shipping.

🌿 NT: Direct shipping is currently TBA while we work through the additional requirements.

We’re also working behind the scenes towards ICA-29 accreditation to expand our direct shipping options further.

Using a concierge? Before ordering, please confirm that your chosen provider can accept your specific plant from Victoria. At checkout, enter your details under Billing and your concierge’s details under Shipping, and add a note letting us know the order is being sent to a concierge.

Once your order has been delivered to the concierge, it is outside our care and control, so we cannot guarantee its condition following treatment, inspection, repacking or onward shipping. All concierge and onward shipping arrangements and fees are organised directly between you and your chosen provider.

Do plants come with a pot?

All plants are sent bare-root in sphagnum moss — no pot included. This keeps the plant healthy during transit and reduces weight for shipping.
How are plants packaged during winter?

During winter, we use thermal packaging to protect your plant from cold temperatures in transit, keeping it safe and stress-free on its journey to you.
