Do you ship plants Australia wide?

Yes, we ship to most states within Australia. Please check your local state regulations and quarantine requirements before purchasing live plants.

What plants do you specialise in?

Obsessed With Aroids specialises in rare Alocasia and Anthuriums including collector plants, variegated varieties and uncommon hybrids.

How are plants shipped?

Plants are carefully packaged and shipped in sphagnum moss without pots to help reduce shipping stress and minimise damage during transit. During colder months, thermal packaging may also be used to help preserve plant health and protect against low temperatures.

When do you ship orders?

Orders are generally shipped Mondays and Tuesdays to help minimise plants sitting in transit over weekends.

Plant Concierge & Quarantine States

For customers located in quarantine-restricted states, a plant concierge or quarantine forwarding service may be required depending on your local regulations.

It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure they understand and comply with their state’s current plant import requirements, laws and quarantine regulations prior to purchasing.

Obsessed With Aroids does not organise concierge or quarantine services on behalf of customers. Any required concierge, forwarding or quarantine arrangements must be independently organised by the purchaser.

Do you offer refunds or returns?

Due to the nature of live plants, returns and refunds are not accepted. Please review photos and descriptions carefully before purchasing.

Do plants come exactly as pictured?

Yes, unless otherwise stated, you will receive the exact plant shown in the listing. Please note leaves may have dropped, minor cosmetics blemishes may have occurred since photo had been taken.

Are your plants suitable for beginners?

Some plants may be suitable for beginners, while others are better suited to experienced collectors due to humidity and care requirements.

What humidity do Alocasia prefer?

Most Alocasia prefer higher humidity environments, generally around 70–80%, especially juvenile and variegated plants.

What humidity do Anthuriums prefer?

Many velvet Anthuriums thrive in stable humidity with good airflow and warm temperatures.

Do you grow plants in moss or soil?

Plants may be grown in sphagnum moss, Fluval Stratum, chunky aroid mixes or semi-hydro depending on the plant stage and growing conditions.

How often should I water my Alocasia?

Alocasia generally prefer consistent moisture without remaining overly wet for extended periods.

Why are my Alocasia leaves turning yellow?

Yellow leaves can occur from overwatering, low humidity, environmental stress or natural ageing of older foliage.

Do you sell Alocasia corms?

Yes, rare Alocasia corms may occasionally become available depending on stock and propagation.
